"Empowering our end-users through the use of technology to better provide student education." -IT Department
ONE-TO-ONE TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM
The goal of 1:1 computing (one computer device to one student) is to provide students with "anytime and anywhere" learning in order to ensure student academic performance.
Students will be assigned a District-owned device that will only be used by your student for the sole purpose of accessing educationally appropriate materials, information, programs, and websites. The District will retain full ownership of all devices, equipment, and software. Devices will be checked-out in August and collected in May.
Policy and procedures regarding this program can be found in the School Device Handbook.
The Agua Fria Union High School District is a 1:1 technology district and will loan a device to students. Students are expected to have the school device daily; personal devices can not be used during the school day for class work. Please review the information, now located in the Student Rights & Responsibilities Handbook, regarding the 1:1 technology program.
Parents/Guardians have the opportunity to purchase a protection planthrough the district for $30 per school year per device. Payment for the Device Protection Plan must be made by Friday, September 6 to be active for the 2019-2020 school year. All previous technology fees need to be paid prior to students receiving a school device.
